In the days when Lumindor shone with dawn’s first kiss, the DAWNBORN Republic flourished, basking in the radiant favor, along with the occasional crabbiness, of their Pūka god, Zupa.

Renowned for their optimism and caffeine addiction, the Dawnborn thrived in a community-driven paradise filled with Dawnkin’ coffee shops on every corner and the famed Morning Glory Cockpits, where gladiators entertained crowds from all corners of the Magonia.

After eons of tranquility, Lumindor’s splendor was shattered in the crucible of the Brewed Awakening War, leaving their once-glorious republic in ruins and overshadowed by the Duskborn’s Twilight Dominion empire.

Feeling abandoned by Zupa in their darkest hour, the Dawnborn immersed themselves in fervent religious devotion. Adorned with garish clothing and splashes of ritualistic paint, punctuated by wildly-hued hairstyles, they danced beneath the morning sun, attempting to rouse their slumbering creator, proving that questionable fashion can, indeed, be a plea for help.

In the aftermath of war, many found refuge on the Southern Nella Islands, a sunlit sanctuary with azure waters and crimson sands. Luxury resorts, high-end shopping, fine dining and casinos lure the Magonian rich and famous, transforming tourism into more than a diversion, but a strategic bid to reclaim the splendor of a bygone age; because if you can’t restore a republic, a seaside retreat isn’t a bad Plan B.

Amidst their plight, The Reawakened, an enigmatic cult led by the charismatic “Donkey King,” exploits the Dawnborn’s zealotry, promising a restored republic and revenge upon the Duskborn…  and also sells delicious boxed cookies; Wumpa Tarts being the undisputed favorite.
